    Magnetic Joint Ball Assembly
    A holding device used for cameras, light fixtures, optical devices, andother applications.
    The magnetic ball joint assembly allows the steel ball a full 360°rotation on a 180° axis.
    This is made possible by the combination of asteel ball and a powerful rare earth magnet containedin the magnet cylinder.
    The ball comes threaded as in the diagram fordifferent sizes.

    Magnetic Ball Joints use powerful Rare Earth Magnets to hold equipment in place and enable the periodic adjustment of the direction or position of the equipment as required. They can swivel or rotate in almost any direction and are commonly used to fix lighting, CCTV Monitors, Lasers, Robotic Joints and Medical equipment in surgeries and laboratories. Using Magnetic Ball Joints eliminates the need for permanent attachment with screws or bolts and allow instant repositioning of devices without the need for tools or technicians.

    Since the magnetic ball joint is electro-conductive, rapidrelease and rotatable electrical connections can be made with such a system. This is of advantage, for instance, in modern low-voltage lamps. Rapid-release connections for test fixtures are also possible. In lifting linkages a predetermined breaking point can be provided, or sideways movements compensated. Due to the use of high-energy rare-earth magnets, magnetic ball joints types KD have a very strong holding force. The resulting displacement force of the ball is strong enough to hold the optical systems of cameras, lighting fixtures or laser units without requiring a mechanical fixation.

    This novel magnetic ball joint has phenomenal holding power for up to 1kg of attached weight wile permitting the ball a full 360° rotation on a 180° axis. You can freely orient your equipment to an infinite number of positions within this rotation. This is made possible by the combination of a steel ball (1mm diameter) and a powerful rare earth magnet contained in the magnet cylinder (8 x 12mm).
