    Injection Molded Samarium Cobalt Bonded Magnets can be made by combining SmCo powders with Nylon 6, Nylon 12, PPS and other resins. The ratios between magnetic powders and resins are endless, therefore many grades exist depending on magnetic performance, temperature resistance, and mechanical strength. These materials can be molded directly over or into another polymer or metal component. The shapes and sizes are endless, as are the magnetization patterns that can be achieved either in the molding tool or by utilizing a magnetizing fixture. The following tables list several common grades, however we have the capability to formulate any desired grade of magnetic material based on customer specified parameters.

    MPCO offers both compression bonded 1:5, and 2:17 SmCo magnets. They have lower energy products than sintered SmCo – currently in the range of 4.0 to 10.0 MGOe. Polymer samarium cobalt magnets with SmCo magnetic powder mixed with polymer materials, compressing through the shaped die, various shapes of high dimensional accuracy can be produced, requiring no further finish machining. Due to excellent corrosion resistance, coating is not required.

    Injection molded magnets are available using smco, ferrite, neodymium-iron-boron, or blends of magnetic materials to achieve an extensive range of properties. Binder types include Nylon 6 and 12, PPS, and Polyamide. The binders and magnetic alloys are capable of a wide range of application temperatures from below -40° C to above 180° C. The Injection molding process is particularly well suited to molding very intricate shapes and thin walled parts. The finished parts can be either very simple or complex in geometry.

    Injection plastic-conded magnet is a new kind of composite permanent-magnetic material with the features of flexible shaping, dimensional precision, adjustable magnetic properties, fine coherence, composite molding, elastic magnetization and high mechanical strength. Isotropic Bonding SmCo Permanent Magnets
