China’s rare earth export data analysis from January to May 2018: cumulative exports decreased by 5.3% year-on-year
According to statistics released by the China Industrial and Commercial Research Institute on the “2018-2023 Chinese Rare Earth Industry Market Outlook and Investment Opportunities Report,” China exported 4447 tons of rare earths in May 2018, up 3.6% year-on-year. From January to May, China exported rare earths. 20769.8 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.3%.
In terms of export value, in May 2018, China exported 43.4 million U.S. dollars of rare earths, a year-on-year increase of 26.2%. From January to May, China exported 207.2 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 22.6%.
